I love Meursault and I was waiting on this gem to show up and make my life better 💕

Meursault is magic. There’s a voluptuous body to it that almost makes you feel like you’re being seduced by something you can’t see. Maybe this wine is the reason they call French a Romance language? I don’t know, but I do know that it’s rare that I don’t love a Meursault and this is a summer… Moillard has a long family history of making incredible wines in Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. Moillard is a top winery in Burgundy with 49 acres of vineyard in the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune area, among them 50% of Premier Cru level.

The Moillard family has been producing wines in the Cote de Nuits since before the French Revolution, and expanded their landholding in the 1850s. Their red wines are know for power and finesse; the Gevrey Chambertin is no different! Full of dark cheery and blackberry, toast and cocoa, with structure and spice. This wine is great for savory dishes now, but will also reward time in the bottle.

Winemaker Notes

Light yellow in colour with bright green hints. The flavours of honeysuckle, fern, candied lemon, brioche and toasted bread form the bouquet. The palate is tasty with some notes of almond paste and hazelnuts. The finish is both saline and crispy.
