La Rioja Alta. Arguably consistently the best producers in Rioja. I’ve worked with these wines as a Wine Professional for years and now I’m beyond excited to have a vehicle to introduce them to clients.

The youngest most primary wine of the Reservas. Vina Alberdi is always composed of 100% Tempranillo from younger vines. Ironically this wine is the one that sees almost all new American oak. The idea is that the wine is so wild and boisterious that it needs to be tamed down a bit. Also the other reason for this is that Alberdi seasons all the barrels for use with other Reserva wines that do better with second or third generation oak. That being said, Vina Alberdi really punches above it's weight class. Wild dark fruit with tons of herby notes and a big back bone of sweet American oak notes. Always a house favorite
