Stolpman Vineyards - Love You Bunches
Stolpman Vineyards - I think they’re good people doing great things with their people, their vineyards and their community. I’ve supported them for almost 10 years and, I imagine, always will.
Love You Bunches - Not only is the name cool, it’s also a great wine. I believe it’s the first wine ever created under their “SO FRESH” label series. Short version of how it’s made:
“Carbonic Maceration” is when the grapes are kept whole/in tact and the juice of each grape ferments inside the skin of each grape. This technique creates a bright, fresh and refreshing “drink now” wine. It’s the technique employed in Beaujolais to create their fresh wines and, same thing applies here only instead of the Gamay grape, the Stolpmans use Sangiovese. They do this because they’re obsessed with Sangio AND because it adds a different layer since it’s a completely different and grittier grape compared to Gamay. #ilovemunches
Stolpman Tasting Notes:
”Serve chilled and taste with an open mind, I believe this wine is irresistible […] Taste this new 2019 vintage. Ka Boom - cherry sour candy and a crunchy red verve that sings through the mouth - this redefines the STOLPMAN SO FRESH brand. A friendly carbonic upfront pop followed by a touch of tart berry eschewing in a dusting of zippy tannin. A touch darker and more giving than the tightly wound 2018.”
Cheers 🥂
