Dr. Loosen, Winery of the Year, makes some of the most prestigious Rieslings in the Mosel.

Urziger Würzgarten translates to the 'Spice Garden of Ürziger' .  This vineyard is celebrated not just for its vibrant red soils or its terrifyingly steep slopes, but also the immense amount of tropical fruits and exotic spices that are laced throughout the wines that hail from it. The vines date back to a whopping 100+ years and these grapes are selectively hand harvested early during the German harvest season. Aromatically the wine is fruit driven and spicy, with ranging notes of citrus and tropical fruits. The palate is textured, with a subtle sweetness that follows, and a refreshing finish of minerality.
