Timing is everything and, just as I was trying to think of a 4th red wine for Wine Club, I (long story) reconnected with Fort Ross winery, which I sold for 7+ years as a wine rep, drank personally and had a great relationship with their team up the coast! Also a little added fun that owners Lester & Linda are South African and there just happens to be a PN from SA in this month's club as well! A rich garnet hue, this Coastal Pinot Noir has alluring notes of raspberry, blueberry and blackberry with a touch of pink peppercorn. Bright layers of black cherry, plum and red currant with a whisper of clove are framed by the plush tannins.
