Sauvignon. For the past three decades, the 'Signature' Cabernet Sauvignon has been the flagship of Chappellet. Aromatically the wine jumps from the glass with notes of ripe black cherries, cassis, fine dark chocolate, as well as oak-influenced espresso, cinnamon, and clove. On the palate, the wine is full of ripe dark berries, and black currants, with spicey lingering flavors of nutmeg, anise, and smoked cedar.
