Talisman Winery - 2021 Rosé of Pinot Noir, North Coast - $28

A very exclusive offering from Talisman, normally only sold at the Tasting Room itself… And we have access to a small amount of it! It’s a rosé that doesn’t hold back it’s punches and a favourite of mine since they started making it. About 5 years ago, Scott finally made a rosé… And oh my. The first bottle I tried was only slightly chilled (mostly because I couldn’t wait for it to chill down for me to try it) and when I tasted it for the first time, I closed my eyes and really thought I was drinking a Talisman Pinot. It’s amazing how my senses fooled me that day… And I’ve been hooked on this rosé ever since! It’s bold and not boring at all. Yes it’s still a rosé and beautifully balanced. If you’ve sat outside with me at my house, you’ve probably had it.

Talisman Winery - 2016 Sadie's Vineyard Pinot Noir, Sonoma - $52

Sadie’s vineyard is one of only 2 vineyards in Russian River that Marta and Scott source their fruit from, and both are quite different. It’s a beautiful representation of a really fabulous vineyard (named after a most adorable dog) with bright red fruit and stunning complexity, gritty with an amazingly pleasant finish. It’s one of my go-tos for sure… If I like my guests 😉 It’s also a wine found only at the tasting room(!)… But I “know a guy” lol. Hugs Marta and Scott!
